WHAT IS INCLUDED IN GLENDON DAM DISCOVERY?
Your adventure includes a kayak, paddle, life jacket, mountain bike, helmet, easy-access launch at Nagy’s Landing, and the self-guided river and trail route. An optional shuttle return is also available if you prefer not to bike back.

DO I NEED KAYAKING EXPERIENCE?
No. Glendon Dam Discovery is beginner friendly and no previous kayaking experience is required. The route is designed to be an accessible way to enjoy the Lehigh River at your own pace.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR OR BRING?
Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and shoes that can get wet. Bring water, sun protection, and anything else you may want for a few hours outdoors. A change of clothes can also be helpful.

The adventure begins at Nagy’s Landing Trailhead on Wilson Avenue in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania. This is where you’ll begin the approximately 2-mile paddle on the Lehigh River.

HOW LONG DOES THE EXPERIENCE TAKE?
Plan on approximately 3 hours for the complete experience, including the river paddle and bike ride. Because the adventure is self-guided, your exact time may vary depending on your pace and how often you stop to enjoy the scenery.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

Rain or shine, the river awaits. Our kayak and bike adventures generally run in light rain. If you decide not to tour, you’re welcome to reschedule for a later date.

If you cancel within 10 days of your scheduled adventure, you’ll receive a gift certificate valid through the end of the current season. For extenuating circumstances, we’ll work with you to reschedule for the following season.

To reschedule or ask about weather conditions, call 484-894-2973.

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO BIKE BACK?
No problem. An optional shuttle return is available for guests who prefer to skip the bike ride back.
