NEW in 2019 Bike the D&L Trail

Historic Bethlehem River Tours has added Bikes for 2019! Take a ride on the D&L Trail, The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L). Ride on the Bethlehem section of this Historic 165 mile trail that goes from the mountains of northeast Pennsylvania through the Lehigh Valley and Bucks County.

The D&L trail runs along the banks of the Lehigh River in Bethlehem. It is a nationally significant historic transportation route over 300 years old! It was used by the Lenni Lenape  Indians, George Washington’s Crossing, and it was the highway supporting the American Industrial Revolution. The Bethlehem, section of the D&L passes along the Historic Moravian settlement and has impressive views of Bethlehem Steel.

Fun Fact:

The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor : (D&L Trail) became an affiliate of  the Smithsonian Institute in 2017. It Joins the two other Smithsonian affiliates in the Lehigh Valley, both in Bethlehem: Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites and the National Museum of Industrial History.
